Marine double-wall pipes are mainly used to transport natural gas in LNG dual-fuel power ships. Different double-wall pipes are adopted according to different application conditions. According to the specifications of classification society, the double-wall pipeline is designed for the gas supply pipeline for transporting LNG fuel in the engine room. The double-wall pipeline consists of the inner and outer pipe. The inner pipe transports natural gas, and the outer pipe serves as the second layer of protection and monitors whether the inner pipe leaks, thus improving the safety of gas transportation. For the LNG fuel filling pipeline, vacuum double-wall pipe should be used, which is composed of the inner pipe, outer pipe, low-temperature adsorbent, and multilayer insulation materials, and the space between the inner and outer pipes are pumped to a high vacuum state to improve the heat preservation and insulation capacity of the pipeline and reduce the cold loss and BOG emission during LNG transportation and improve the safety of fuel gas supply.
